Ashlee (rowe) Yates
Owner of Home Run Sitters
From 2006-2008, I was playing volleyball at Yavapai College, where I met a handsome baseball player who I would later marry, Kirby Yates. After Yavapai, I continued my education at Arizona State University completing my Bachelors in Broadcast Journalism and a Masters in Elementary Education.
Kirby was off pursuing his baseball dreams, making his way through the Tampa Bay Rays organization and in 2013, I decided to leave my teaching career and travel full-time with him. In the midst of trying to find my purpose as a “baseball spouse,” I began watching our teammates children as I very much enjoyed spending my days with kiddos (and still do).
I soon realized the difficulty and struggle these families faced trying to find and screen sitters for their children. Being in unfamiliar locations without the support of friends and family made finding a trustworthy sitter near impossible.
In 2014, I created Home Run Sitters LLC, a sitter referral agency aimed at providing the highest quality in-home childcare through extensive screening, background checks, Non Disclosure Agreements, and CPR + First Aid certifications. My past experience as a public school educator, nanny and youth sports coach has been instrumental in the development of this business.
From the very beginning, our agency’s original core values have been at the forefront of our business:
- Flexibility–We will always provide flexible childcare arrangements for our clients.
- Quality–We place only the highest level of professional sitters and pay them a professional rate.
- Well-Versed–We strive to maintain the highest level of excellence and recommended practices through agency education and certifications.
- Positivity–We work diligently to provide both the sitter and family a satisfied and happy experience.
Parents need a support system just as much as children do, Home Run Sitters was created for YOU!
